What is the Children’s Travelling Language Library?

The European Children’s Travelling Language Library is a box containing the 36 illustrated children’s books in Czech, English, Finnish, Italian, Spanish and Turkish as well as the Eurolib school kit.

The school kit includes the Teacher Guide, Vol. 1 ‘Activities background’ and Vol. 2 ‘Tasks and Activities’, a CD with recordings of native speakers reading extracts from the books, book templates, translations, examples of small ‘culture’ souvenirs representing a country’s culture, along with cards for specific pedagogical activities to be carried out within the classroom.

The Teacher Guide presents detailed activities to enhance inter-comprehension, comprehension, creative expression, criticism, reflection, task-based learning, collaboration and using languages within a social context.
